Hogs for a Cause continues to align with other Organizations, Ministries and Events in order to have a greater outreach impact in our communites and teaching self sufficiency.
TRAPPING OPERATIONS
Electronic trapping is the most cost effective means of hog eradication. HFAC intends to use this type of trapping as a way to keep up with the demand for meat and raise additional funds for the ministry. There are some monthly costs for trapping and animal transportation. We always appreciate donations to help us keep our operations going!
TRAPPING EXPANSION
HFAC has been blessed with a lot of support in our trapping operations. Soon we will be able to expand our operations by purchasing another trap to increase the amount of meat that we are able to provide to those that need it.
PROCESSING FACILITY
Food safety is important and we follow all state and federal regulations to ensure that the meat that we provide is not just safe, but also of the highest quality in every way - easily rivaling downtown restaurant quality. This, however, is expensive! Our long-term goal is to establish our own processing facility with state inspectors on staff to be able to keep processing and transportation costs to a minimum.
